Getting back to the US energy policy, what seems to be emerging is a series of policies that George Bush would have pushed, if he hadn't gotten war fever and gotten bogged down in foreign policy outrages.

Obama a few weeks ago called for a re-start of nuclear power plant development. This week it's oil leases for off shore drilling. And, soon it will be more talk on the need for pushing clean coal.
