Oh fuck! The same voluntraism that poisons most attempts to "judge" past socialist struggles. (Incientally, this personification of Socialism is a bit silly too.) Socialist movements failed because after doint as well as it was possible to do, the working classes of the world were simply weaker thab capitalism. Nothing socialist movementts/leaders might have done differently would have changed the outcome.
