As long as it has its "special relationship" with the US intact, Isarel can and will continue to flout world opinion, as it has been doing for decades. I don't think that the government there cares particularly about the fact that they have suffered a major PR diaster. They have been through worse and have always managed to ride out any subsequent political storms.
