That BTW seems to have been Marx & Engels's attitude too. They engineered the dissolution of the Communist League, which they had become convinced had outlived its usefulness following the crushing of the revolutionary uprisings of 1848. Likewise, they spearheaded the ending of the IWMA by having its headquarters moved to New York City from Europe.
