I certainly support Bradley Manning as well.  But that doesn't address the question of how one is able to tell whether these leaks are information or disinformation.  The bogus or weak intelligence reports that were used as a pretext for war with Iraq were most likely official memos themselves.  That the information in those official memos was highly politicized even before it was used as propaganda by the government is now a given.  If the government is removed as a mediator and propagandist and the official memos go directly into the bloodstream of the web does that suddenly depoliticize them and render them truthful?  fm
