Yeah. I can think of a couple hundred people who made records in the old days who wouldn't get through the door now. They'd be too ugly or weird or something else that wouldn't sell. They were needed when the technology was new but not now. I think the clearest example is country music. In a very short period it went from songs about murder and heartbreak to songs for soccer moms listening on the freeway between Agoura Hills and Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga played a few shows in Los Angeles recently and a ton of people showed up dressed in various of her looks. There was a show outside the show with photos in the paper.
