FM: Obama is a disappointment but I wonder if the muckraking excellence of Matt Taibbi's article on the SEC's shredding of its records would have occurred under the spooked national culture of President George W. Bush. The Obama era, as short as it's been so far, does seem to be shaping up into an era of leaks that shine a light on the corruption of US and international governmental institutions. But whether the Obama administration has anything to do with that is anyone's guess.
