This bit of trivia had an ulterior purpose. I hate Davidson's politics but
regard him as a personal friend of long standing. Contrast a thread not long
ago when a criticism of  the political theory of Jodi Dean was responded to
with the absurd charge that we hated her. Probably because in fact her
political theory is utterly indefensible.

Carl wrote for the Guardian, then was a CPML member, then a LRS member. Then
he drifted (or marched) to the CoC. His politics are now hopeless, but he's
a good friend of ours still.

Didn't he used to be some sort of commie?

You gotta love this - it took Obama 3 years to not really end a war and
we're supposed to celebrate? What about all those other wars, including a
few he started?
