[WS:] But that is an entirely different argument. I do not think that anyone here was claiming that everything id peachy in the EU, and certainly not me. But arguing that things in EU are not as good as they should or could have been does not lead to the conclusion that EU is a problem and should be eliminated. This is precisely the same faulty logic that led to the dismantling of socialism.
Quite frankly, I think people respond to it more on an emotional than a rational level. I am not immune to it myself, as I suggested on a few occasions that the US should be dismantled as well. But this was an emotional reaction, and I do not think I could rationally support that proposition. Things are far from perfect here, and the list of government misconducts is long, but the dismantling of the federal structures would make things far worse for a quite a number of people.
