I think you've got a point. Which is a way of saying that this
situation matters a lot, and shouldn't be dismissed out of some faux
populism.

CB: Yeah.  And Barry's education policy channeling that "ruler" Bill
Gates fits with this hypothesis (smile).  Attacking teachers is a very
good way to produce poor students.

 Furthermore,  teachers, secondary and college, were a big chunk of
the 60's reform activists. In recent decades, in Detroit, the teachers
union has been the most militant in the labor movement.
