Low vision. Zoomtext, which you may already use, has support for multiple monitors. That means, depending on what would work with your eyes, you could

1) Use one large montior, unzoomed for navigation, while a second large monitor showed only the zoomed area. Add a swivel chair and you

have the best of both world. Use your mouse and arrow and pageup/pagedown keys and so on to navigate where you can see the entire context, then swivel to read the zoomed part on the other screen.

2) place two monitors immediately next to one another and span both, using the combined two monitors as single screen.Depending on the requirements of your particular vision loss, that might provide enough magnification without any need for zooming. Two 26 inch screens, well because screens are measured diagonally don't really add up to 52 inches, but add up to something pretty big.

If you don't have zoomtext, retail on a new copy is around $400 bucks. Discounts do exist. If you have an older version of Zoomtext, upgrades are deeply discounted. Versions that support dual monitors do require a fair amount of processing power and memory. So you may end up with a new computer, two new monitors and new software. I guess this is spend Carrol's money day.
