The University of California system started doing this in the late 80s!
At the same time, and without suggesting that I think universities allocate
their funds or direct their policies anywhere near to where they should, the
folks demanding that public colleges and universities provide the same
education for much less then being "shocked" and "demanding" transparency
w/r/t the administrative workarounds is risable... what pricks. Aren't
these the same folks who oppose open meeting laws and transparency w/r/t
their own spending, perks, etc?
I am not being moralistic, I swear, Carrol. ;-)
