Just a query. You and I of course agree about red-baiting -- it's slimy. And
it may be, has been, used to support corrupt officials (union or otherwise).
Still, the phrase, "corruption of red-baiting" rings a bit odd. It seems to
belong to another dimension than the other corruptions you list, most of
which are at least nominally illegal as well as slimy!
