Yeah, that's a really good point.

And compounding the novelty, the last famous protest to happen at Wall Street was the hard hat riot, a protest against a protest (against the Kent State killings). And in that case the mayor supported the antiwar protestors and criticized the police for not cracking down hard enough on the hard hats. And reportedly, Wall Street bankers who passed by tried to come to the aid of the students.
