No reason to make a pissing contest out of this. Each event has its own specific historical gravity and function. Or rather, if you compare, it's to learn something from the differences that helps you move forward and understand how context determines what's possible, what tactics are appropriate, etc.

A shifting of tectonic plates this year, or in the Obama era if you prefer. But nothing you, Eric, or Carrol have said couldn't apply equally to, say, Seattle (which of course also had a lot to do with Wisconsin; one of our own list members, a key organizer there, cut his teeth on the antiglobo protests). If you restrict your focus enough, both chronologically and geographically, sure, it was a big innovation.
