Minor point: Goldman is no longer an investment bank; they are a Bank Holding Company :-)

Deutsche Bank is still on Wall Street proper: 60 Wall.

Also, the NYSE is still there, at the corner of Broad. That sort of makes it the spiritual home of global finance if not the actual physical center.

CB: Yes, "Wall Street" is still the symbolic location. Would be sort of silly to go marching all around Manhattan and Connecticut. People get the symbolic point. The virtual location of Wall Street is cyberspace.

The use of the Weatherman term is an example of imperfect theory but, to paraphrase Marx or probably Carrol Cox, one actual action is worth a thousand perfect theoretical programs. They will learn from their mistakes. Practice will correct their theory. Also, they are explicit about it being non-violent. That's very important. They seem to have already learned from the mistakes of 1969. The main thing wrong with 1969 was the violence. They were in an era of dozens of urban violent riots and mimicking them.

I've been calling for a _peaceful_ march on Wallstreet for years . See archives.
