First of all, I'm no better or worse than anyone else on this list. My participation here, with momentary exceptions, has waned for the same reasons as others. I can get quicker, more, and more customized dialogues through other media (although I won't do Twitter!). As others fall away here like myself, there's less of an incentive to post here. It's the typical collective action dilemma. And not just the volume, but the caliber of the exchanges here attenuates as people (myself included) become more habituated to social media. Rarely do I feel inclined to start a thread here, although I will add to an existing one once in a while. And I do say this with some sadness. You go back into the archives, and there were some great runs. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not burying the list just yet.)
