  Thanks for the correction but the point remains that they did get 2 while the Bahrain activist got 3 years plus the next day a protester died from wounds.The point made in the Digital Journal article also remains. There is a huge outcry about the severity of the sentences in Russia but almost nothing about what is happening in Bahrain. Indeed there is little coverage .There is a lot of media attention to the Russian protests but almost none to Bahrain and not only that the U.S. has recently decided to send more armaments even though reforms have been minor.

That's true.  They could have gotten as much as 7.
