I have certainly noticed that too with libertarians. They all got Road to Serfdom at tome, but they haven't quite gotten around to reading it just yet.

Hayek is a great economist and a serious all around thinker, not to be grouped with Rand. I doubt if Ryan has read a a world of him. Like Marx with many Marxists, his has become a name to help label yourself by on the right. If you asked Ryan what the calculation debate was, he'd probably say, Wha?
