Good Cop/Bad Cop works even better in politics than it ever did in a police
station.

The DP remains THE threat to democracy in the U.s. (The problem with that
sentence is that except in a very superficial sense it is no longer clear
that the U.S. is a democracy.) 

The only significant political activity is that that prepares for or builds
a mass movement,  expressed in direct action. We have gone definitely beyond
the point at which elections can be serious.
