That's just pure fantasy. Global elites didn't give a shit. They barely noticed, in fact. They're annoyed by the rhetoric of OWS but have yet to take it seriously as a political challenge. Ed "Wall Street's Conventional Wisdom Personified" Hyman has barely mentioned it in his voluminous daily commentaries. Wall Street is far more concerned by the decline in trading profits.
