That's a great and true statement: "Teaching and learning are inherently inefficient." 

-- Repetition is key.

-- Deep learning requires forgetting.

-- Deep learning requires getting things wrong.

None of this is "efficient."

Thanks Jeffrey, that's a key notion to counter the factory model crap.
