I ordered my inhaler that as a US brand costs 220.00 ea. On mail order
from Canada it's 29.00 or for three 35.00. The package arrived this
morning. Why did it take more than ten days? Well the answer, it was
shipped from Germany. The secondary source was Singapore, while the actual
manufacturer was India. So made in India, branded in Singapore, shipped from
Germany. Presumably, the German government regulators certify the quality,
which (I hope) is why Canada might source them.
Why this globe trotting route to a medication that costs nearly 20 times as
much here? Patent and copyright laws in the US. International copyrights
were over more
than a year ago. They've been extended in the US. for several years.Plus the
original manufacturer uses an internationally banned CDC gas as the
propellent.
