Were Marx and Engels really guilty of that? Didn't Bakunin and the Proudhonists attack M&E for the latter's support of the highly industrialized German working class, whereas the Bakuninists and Proudhonists were admirers of the lumpenproleteriat and petit-bourgeois small proprietors (respectively)?
