[lbo-talk] Reuters: Egypt's Brotherhood declares its candidate president

 Democracy and the revolution are dead in Egypt. Do not expect the U.S or other western powers to mourn. There will probably not even be much of a pretense of mourning. The last remnants of choice in Egypt a former Mubarak functionary or a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood. Even if the latter wins he will be stripped of most powers. Perhaps he is just happy to be out of jail.
