Yeah, it was a striking article in terms of the narratives, but the distinction made between the newly poor and the traditionally poor is somewhat sickening. The newly poor might want to insist on the distinction, but the reporter need not have done so.

Also, the fact that the "aid" agencies treat clients like garbage is deemed to be horrible when the clients are the newly poor, but ok for the rest?
