Marx wrote in the Poverty of Philosophy:

"C'est le temps où les choses mêmes qui jusqu'alors étaient
communiquées, mais jamais échangées".

Is there any chance that, "communiquées, mais jamais échangées" means
here "shared, but never exchanged"---rather than, as translated,
"communicated, but never exchanged"?  I mean, you communicate an idea,
but you share things.  No?
