So while Marx was right about the systemic unsustainability of capitalist growth, he was wrong about this being a cause of its downfall. He thought people are rational and learn from experience. Some perhaps do, but most don't. They will keep doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

CB:" he was wrong about this being a cause of its downfall"......SO FAR. The downfall of capitalism is an epochal process. It took more than 90 years for capitalism to replace feudalism. History isn't over.

Also, there have been beginnings of the downfall of capitalism in the Soviet Union , etc. The fact that counter-revolution set those revolutions back, doesn't erase them from history and as premises for a future successful world revolution.
