I come with a different cultural baggage, though, one of a native
rising to the position of power in their enemy ranks, and then leading
them into defeat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konrad_Wallenrod).

I simply do not know which applies to O, but I am trying to give him
the benefit of the doubt.
