Carrol Cox Sparticus and his followers did not condemn slavery as an institution; they simply did not want to be slaves themselves. Any moral condemnation of slavery will lead to relativism.

^^^^^^^ CB: Similarly, Marxism appeals to the self-interest of the working class to end capitalism. Morality concerns rules for the way people treat other people. So, an appeal to self-interest is not a moral appeal. Marxism , in appealing to the self-interest of workers is not making a moral appeal.

Engels , who was a capitalist, was moralistic in his personal opposition to capitalism. He opposed it out of concern for the way other people , workers, were treated in capitalism, not out of self-interest.
