Dennis C: Since when are cars just a u.s. thing?

When Bill Maudlin visited France after the war & experienced Parisian
drivers, he commented: If the cars were as powerful as U.S. cars the streets
of Paris would run with blood. He seemed to think driving in Paris was more
dangerous than infantry combat.
