This is the US of A for you - atomized, individualized, and fractionalized where the needs of the 99 percent are addressed, centralized and coordinated when the interests of the 1 percent are being served.
No. No. No. No. The problem is not with the lack of a standardized school curriculum. The problem is fundamentally with a very poorly trained teaching cadre, further bedeviled by edu trends that change course every five years or so, further increasing chaos.
The ONLY reason for standardized testing right now is to justify privatization.
