[WS:] And this is exactly my problem - I am not looking for alternatives to the state, I do not think such alternatives are possible, unless one wants to exterminate most of the human population as Chomsky aptly observed. I do believe in a socialist state, which is not only quite possible, but also vastly superior not only to the form that exists here (that goes without saying) but also to anarchist utopias. Yet, it is rather unlikely to materialize in my life time. I've known that all the way, of course, but when it is shown in plain view that the institutions that one would hope may possible be stepping stones to such a socialist state are in fact a part of the capitalist cabal - it is pretty depressing, no?
