And then there’s also option trading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Option_(finance). It’s a beautiful world out there! My own formula is simple: everytime AAPL loses >= 70% of Nasdaq decrease, and there’s no *real* terrible news about the company, I buy AAPL. Mixing that up with some AAPL option trading when such downturns occur would add some extra cash at selling time, :-) but I haven’t got there yet.
