In Catalonia??? By the way, Spain is not and never was a nation state. It is a Catholic empire ruling over conquered peoples (Catalans and Basques foremost among them) and territories (especially Andalusia, most of whose people were ethnically cleansed or forcibly catholicized). Catalan secession would establish, not end, a nation state--and within a much broader economic entity, Europe.
