[WS:] Bollocks!. When was the last time you set your foot inside a school? Student using and sharing drugs is the least of their concerns.
And nobody is defending the idiotic "war on drugs." You are barking up a wrong tree. The problem is somewhere else - undermining people's only chance of getting a better life. I was drinking, doing drugs, and skipping school and so did my friends. The difference was that I had enough family support to get out of it at some point and land in a graduate school. Many of my school friends were not so lucky. So the middle class guys like you or me can say "it is drug using and sharing and nothing else" because we can afford it and still do ok. Those without middle class background cannot - if they do the same things as we do, they are are almost certainly screwed up. Not that they will automatically do ok when they go to school and jump through the hoops, but at least they have a chance which they otherwise would not have. So while I personally do jack shit to change the screwed up class structure, I at least appreciate the efforts of public school teachers who do give a shit and try to keep their students out of jail. I think they deserve better than being called conveyor belts to prison by white suburban liberals.
