No comparison. Swartz wasn't Turing. Turing wasn't hounded to death because of a property crime but because of prejudice agains, including criminalization of, his sexual preferences and behavior. Swartz wasn't even hounded to death. He was a depressive who, like 25% of serious depressives, killed himself despite access, lacking to Turing, of the finest legal defense available and despite, unlike Turing, having consciously committed an act of civil disobedience. I am stating to get angry at the misconceptions, distortions, and lionization of Swartz and his case.
