I see no evidence of what you are talking about. Despite the vastly increased surveillance capacity, the instances of cops framing someone are rare, comparing to the past, which suggest demilitarization. Unless someone is stupid enough to brag about their illegal activities using open communication channels, which is no different than shouting about in public. They ask to be busted.

It is the critics who are becoming hysterical. this administration is remarkably scandal free, which is problem for the US political discourse that thrives on mud throwing and bombast. If they cannot find real mud, they make it up.
