[WS:] This was a classic Comintern line in the 1920s that weakened the
opposition to fascist movements, eventually resulting in the obliteration
of the communist movement and extermination of many communists.  While I do
not think that this Comintern propaganda line is the main  factor to blame
for the rise of the fascist movement and subsequent extermination of
communists and socialists, I think it has been sufficiently compromised to
be put to the dustbin of history.
