[WS:] I do not think that it is the main purpose of the US military - it is more like a side effect. The main purpose of the US military is to produce and sell weapons, that is, to keep the military industrial complex in business. That is it. Without the weapons industry the US would be reduced to a third world banana republic serving tourists, growing cattle, and manufacturing schlock. US military campaign are basically demonstration projects - advertisement blitzes for the US weapon manufacturers. All that matters is to show the technical capabilities of these weapons to prospective buyers. Who gives a flying fuck about regional stability and all that nonsense?
