You know, if the west manages to destabilize Ukraine sufficiently we might actually see pogroms there once again, which would mean that with one stroke the U.S. could 

1) Undermine Russian banking (holding a lot of Ukrainian bonds) 
2) Destabilize Russian natural gas economy....all those pipelines going through Ukraine 
3) Drive another stake through Palestine as the victimized Jews flee to Israel 

Ugh.
