I have been a lurker on this list since 1999, after bad subjects folded. I have enjoyed LBO very much and learned a lot from all the members who wrote avidly, day after day, in a manner I could not possibly have been able to keep up with. I learned a lot though, and thank all the writers, and especially Founding Father Doug Henwood, for their effort in writing and for their effort in learning what they wrote about. I think, overall, it was the very best political-theoretical list on the internet for many years, and I realize that I have no idea what the limits of the 'internet' universe really are, the Library of Babel, but within what my reading encompassed, LBO was the best. I still miss bad subjects, where we read 'The Magus' together online, and had a very pleasant time, and I'm sure I'll miss and remember LBO as well.
