Now writers for the once virulently anti-Corbyn Guardian have jumped on his bandwagon. It’s a tribute, grudging or otherwise, to his ascendency and that of the movement which he represents. Corbyn has overcome tremendous opposition from within and without the Labour Party, is is riding high in the polls, and is on course to become Britain’s next prime minister.

While a Corbyn government, like all radical left regimes would face enormous pressures from the corporations and corporate media to abandon its program, its election would give a powerful boost to the international left and could contribute mightily to reversing the right-wing populist tide sweeping Europe and the US.
