Has anyone on this list read "About Men" by Phyllis Chesler. Some interesting notions about religion, men, and women. She has some remarkable insights, I thought, on Abraham's sacrifice of his son, Michelangelo's painting with God's hand outstretched to Adam, marrying a Moslem, etc.
