So, the Wall Street Journal reports that the U.S. auto industry's trade
assocation, the American Automobile Manufacturers Assn, is breaking up now
that Chrysler is German-owned. Ford & GM can't agree on trade or
environmental policy. So what's this mean for nationalist trade policy in
general and the UAW's traditional nationalism as well. Now that capital is
wobbly, will the UAW be forced to think for itself?
