Lou and Snit discussing Weimar white-collar workers might be interested
to know that Verso just now published an English translation (the first)
by Quentin Hoare of the great 1930 study *Die Angestellten* by Siegfried
Kracauer. Verso gave the translation the title "The Salaried Masses:
Duty and Distraction in Weimar Germany."  It's a great little book.
