Is the Coalition Falling Apart?

Has anyone considered whether there is any room for African Americans in this emergent labor-environmental coalition? . . .

Actually this issue has been playing out in African-American politics, and much more directly than via environmental justice issues. There is a NAFTA counter-part for Africa, as well as Clinton's Caribbean Basin Initiative. Jesse Jackson Jr., now a Member of Congress, has been leading the criticism, and Charlie Rangel the support. Rob Scott has a piece directly on CBI which describes a positive approach to the issue, rather than a pure rejectionist one.

The coalition is only going to get bigger. Arguments among anarchists? Talk about your hurricane in a drop of water.
