That aside, what's a protest movement to do? Find another city 
hindered by liberal guilt? After last week, there probably aren't too 
many of those left. Give up because Rudy & his ilk will crush you?

The fact that the NYC unions are so awful - and most of them are - 
would be great opportunity for some of their dissidents to join in 
the demo. And it'd be a great place to bring some nonwhite faces into 
the mix.

I don't mean for a second there should be no demo's
in NYC.  But for one similar to Seattle that can be used
to justify police violence, we'd do well to have some
serious forces on our side.  The result would be
Armageddon, but it would be worth it.  I'm not sure
the sit-downers, by themselves, could have coped with
RG.
