Headline:  Almost half of workers earn less than 6 dollars a day
More than 46 percent of Mexican workers make less than 64 pesos per day,

about 6 dollars, according to the recent National Urban Employment
Survey of
the National Statistical Institute (INEGI).

The survey of employment and wages in the large cities indicates that 12

percent of the [economically] active urban population earns less than
one
minimum wage, 32 pesos that is to say - about 3 dollars - and 34 percent

only earn [the equivalent of] up to two minimum wages - some 6 dollars
daily.

Furthermore, almost half of the employed (47.2%) do not receive
benefits,
according to the INEGI report.
