Jim there is a minor clash between your last two sentences. The first sys there's been a change. The second says it's always been like that.
A friend of mine at Michigan recalled when his mother had visited him on Seniors Day, at which the president of UofM (this would have been in the early '50s) spoke. Afterwards her only comment was, "Well, anyhow, he *looks* like a president."
